Monica spent her early childhood living in a small hut in rural Uganda with 13 other children. Though she had very little, Monica had big dreams. More than anything, Monica wanted to go to school and learn, but her family could not afford the school fees.
When Monica was 7, she moved into an orphan-care facility that uses resources provided by the David Caleb Cook Foundation. There, Monica learned that she was known and loved by God, causing her faith, hope, and knowledge to grow.
This is an incredible transformation—not only because Monica became part of Jesus’ family but also because her dream came true. Monica is not one of the children in this class—she is the teacher! Monica was transformed by God’s love—and now she is transforming the lives of her students and fellow teachers.
