As children in the United States prepare to go back to school, children around the world are facing much different situations. COVID numbers are rising in many countries, threatening healthcare systems and economic stability. As families and communities face discouragement, isolation, depression, fear, health concerns, and financial struggles, the world needs hope in Jesus—and the ministry leaders in their communities are ready to serve.
Though many of these leaders have faced their own financial challenges, health issues, and emotional struggles, they continue to express that in spite of discouragement and lack of resources, they want to do what they can to point their communities toward the source of all hope—Jesus.
Please join us in praying for these leaders and the children and families they serve:
- Pray that God will continue to encourage and strengthen them for the tasks that lie ahead.
- Pray that God will protect their physical and emotional health in the midst of these challenging times.
- Pray that God will provide for their families, even when many are not being paid or are receiving less compensation because their churches are closed.
- Pray that God will give them new ways to deliver the message of hope to those who are afraid, hurting, and grieving in their communities.
- Pray that God will bring comfort to the families of the ministry leaders who have died.
- Pray that God will fill these ministry leaders with encouragement and hope so their communities will be ministered to by the overflow of this blessing.
- Pray that children and families will be receptive to the message of hope in Jesus—and that they will come to know Him and find comfort and peace in His family.
- Pray that children all over the world will be protected from the physical and emotional effects of COVID.
- Pray that God will continue to fill the staff of the David Caleb Cook Foundation with His strength, creativity, and compassion so they can continue to seek new ways to encourage and support these ministry leaders.
- Pray that God will continue to provide the necessary funding for DCCF’s efforts to support ministry leaders around the globe.
- Pray that God will intervene and heal the world from the global pandemic.
