The Gospel for All Generations

The older woman listened quietly as 10-year-old Maria told her about Jesus. In her small, rural community in Honduras, the older woman had heard the gospel many times. But as Maria spoke excitedly about God’s love and shared the colorful pictures in her small booklet, the woman heard the gospel in a completely different way.

“God loves me THAT much?” the woman asked Maria. Maria smiled and nodded. “He loves you so much that He sent His Son to die for you! That is VERY big love!”

When the older woman was ready to invite Jesus into her heart, the adults who had come with Maria gathered around to pray. But the older woman shook her head. “I want Maria to pray!” the woman said. “I want to love Jesus like she does!”

This is just an example of the many life-changing stories from the Central American evangelism outreach on May 27. Thanks to the generosity of our donors, ministry partners in the region were equipped with training and resources from the David Caleb Cook Foundation—and thousands of children and families now know what it means to love and follow Jesus.

Donor gifts provided 450,000 copies of The Story of Jesus, DCCF’s comic-style evangelism booklet that shares the Good News through engaging illustrations and easy-to-read text that capture children’s hearts. In addition, ministry leaders were equipped with video training and a leader guide, which helps them to share the gospel with children in age-appropriate ways and to teach children how to share the gospel with others.

In 2020 alone, more than 2 million children learned about God’s love through The Story of Jesus—and equipping leaders with training and the leader guide multiplies the impact.

Outreach like this is only possible because of people like you—people who know that hope in Jesus changes a child’s life forever. You can give the gift of the gospel and bring hope to children around the globe by supporting DCCF’s evangelism outreach efforts. And right now, your gift will be doubled by a generous friend of DCCF.
