In early 2020, the momentum was growing. The David Caleb Cook Foundation’s India team had been training ministry leaders all over India, and these ministry leaders had been returning to their churches with renewed passion for children’s ministry and ready to train other Sunday school teachers to share their vision. DCCF’s team had in-person trainings scheduled in multiple regions in the coming months, with plans to equip hundreds of ministry leaders. But health concerns brought these plans to a halt.

Nearly a year later, DCCF’s India team is building momentum again. At a recent in-person training, where safety protocols were observed, the team trained ministry leaders from a church that had recently lost its pastor to COVID. These ministry leaders are passionate about seeing God’s work in their community—and they know that children’s ministry is critical.

“[Transformation in our community] can only be accomplished if there is strong work in Sunday school,” one of the church leaders shared. “This discipleship program will have a great impact in the lives of the children.”

In India and all around the world, ministry leaders equipped with DCCF’s Life on Life training and resources are seeing God’s transformative work in the lives of the children in their communities. Please pray for health, wisdom and creativity for our India team as they resume in-person training and finish developing a brand-new online training, which will allow even more ministry leaders in India to develop their skills and passion for children’s ministry. And please pray that the lives of children all over India will be transformed by God through their efforts.
