Children who are part of the David Caleb Cook Foundation’s Life on Life discipleship program learn what it means to follow Jesus in every area of life—and God is changing their hearts and lives in powerful ways.
One of those amazing stories of transformation is shared in this video by six-year-old Isabela, who has learned that there IS power in the name of Jesus! When her father was ill with COVID-19, she knew where to turn for hope and healing. Here is her story, shared in her own words (see translation below the video):
Today I want to share a situation we had at home. My dad got sick, they took him to the doctor and told him he had COVID. Then I got sad and I got really scared. I thought my dad was gonna die.
One night, my dad got really bad, and my mom, my brothers, and I prayed and asked the Lord to heal him. We were praying, and I got really sad. My mom noticed it and explained to me what God would do, and she told me that I need to trust in God. I had to be confident, and God would heal him.
In the Bible, 1 Peter says: “Casting all your care upon him; for He careth for you.” So if we put our trust in God whatever your situation is, He takes care of us.
I learned that God is in control of everything. So COVID is not to fear because God is with me and with you.
In John 11 it says: “Said I not unto thee, that, if thou wouldest believe, thou shouldest see the glory of God?” So today I tell you to put your trust in God.
So after many days, my dad is already very healthy, thanks to God.
